What is a member-at-large, and can I be one?

A member-at-large is someone who joins NSBE but does not affiliate with a collegiate, professional or NSBE Jr. chapter. Instead, they are listed as “At-Large” within their appropriate membership category (Collegiate, Professional or NSBE Jr.). Yes, if there is no chapter in your area, you can join as a member-at-large. You’ll receive full benefits without chapter affiliation. However, joining a chapter helps you stay connected with NSBE at a local level. Find a Chapter Near You!
